Our commitment
Accessibility statement
Last updated July 2026.
EveryPetHaven is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone, including people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, have motor or cognitive disabilities, or use assistive technology. We believe every pet owner deserves an equal experience, and we are continually improving the usability of our site and app for all.
Conformance target
We design and build to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the W3C. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What we do
- Screen readers: semantic HTML with proper landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), headings in order, ARIA labels on controls, and descriptive alternative text on every meaningful image.
- Keyboard: all interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to main content" link.
- Forms: every field has a real, associated label; required fields and errors are announced; touch targets are at least 44×44 pixels.
- Colour & contrast: body text meets a 4.5:1 contrast ratio; we never rely on colour alone to convey meaning.
- Motion: we honour the operating-system "reduce motion" setting and keep animation minimal.
- Zoom & reflow: the layout is responsive and remains usable at 200% zoom and on small screens.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is never "finished." We test with keyboard navigation and screen readers, and we review new features against WCAG 2.1 AA before release. Some third-party or newly added content may not yet fully conform; where we find gaps, we prioritise fixing them.
Tell us about a barrier
If you encounter any barrier, or need information in a different format, please contact us — we want to hear from you and will do our best to help promptly:

- Or use our contact form (subject: “Accessibility”).
Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using, so we can reproduce and fix the issue.
